As the week goes on, jury selection is continuing in Knox County for the upcoming trial against Steven Wiggins.
Jury selection began Monday morning with over 300 people summoned, but have already eliminated 150 people from the jury pool.
Currently, they have 40 potential jurors who have gone through the normal jury questions with the addition of the extensive jury questions about the death penalty as well.
Although there are over 100 more jurors left in the jury pool, jury selection will be finalized either Friday night or early Saturday morning.
The trial is still on schedule to begin this coming Monday, August 2nd, in Charlotte.
