Russell led the way with seven rebounds and was tied with assists with Anna Leatherwood.
There were some moments of fear of a comeback, but DC held strong and kept the winning streak going with three in a row now improving their record to 6-9.
The boys would follow to play their first game in almost two weeks losing a barn burner 46-48.
The 6’6 sophomore Chanx Martin made his varsity debut after earning his eligibility and he did not disappoint.
He would get the start and lead the way with points, rebounds, assists, and blocks having 13, 5, 3, and 2.
His length and athleticism are an exciting development for this varsity squad.

10 total Cougars saw the floor on Tuesday, coach Dodd has mentioned he wants that number closer to eight but has not gotten there yet.
