The Joseph Daniels Court case from last month has now released the jury expenses for the trial in Charlotte. These expenses follow the case that found Joseph Daniels guilty of murdering his five year old son, Joe Clyde Daniels, in April of 2018.
Daniels was convicted on five charges: Second Degree Murder, First Degree Murder in Perpetration of a Felony Crime, Aggravated Child Abuse, Initiating a False Report, and Tampering with Evidence.
The Daniels trial lasted a total of nine days with a jury selected from Chattanooga. A break down with the complete Jury Expenses are listed below:
- Lodging: $23,053.78
- Meals / Snacks & Drinks: $11,912.17
- Security (Chattanooga – full pay) (Dickson Co. – overtime pay): $16,256.75
- Building Rental in Chattanooga: $3,582.00
- Transportation Cost – Transporting Jurors: $3,510.00
- Jury Pay: $8,034.00
- Grand Total: $66,618.70
Joseph Daniels will be sentenced on these charges listed above on September 14th at 1:00pm at the Dickson County Historic Courthouse in Charlotte.
