This past weekend, Humphreys and Dickson Counties were affected by catastrophic flood damage.
The town of Waverly, was hit by 17 inches of rain in a 24 hour period, which broke and set the record for the state of Tennessee with the most rainfall in a 24 hour period.
This has left countless amounts of people stranded on roofs displaced, missing and unfortunately killed.
Due to this tragic event the Red Cross has sent volunteers to help search for mission persons and provide basic essentials for victims.
At this time, the Red Cross is asking for donations for the flood victims on their website. If you would like to donate, visit www.redcross.com/donate and select disaster relief.
