Dickson County High Schools Youth Leadership Class presented a bill to the House of Representatives last week with State Representative Mary Littleton.
An overview of the bill states, “Teachers, Principals and School Personnel – As introduced, clarifies that all public school personnel must complete an annual child abuse training program identified by the department of education or that meets the guidelines established by the department of children’s services.”
This bill has been worked on for the entire semester and previous legislation has been brought to the House of Representatives before with positive results.
In fact, this year Representative Mary Littleton stated, “I just wanna say how proud I am of them as well and again this is like the fourth time that they’ve brought these legislation and it’s been very successful and I hope this bill will be as well”.
