The Dickson County Sheriff’s Department will begin to look different in the upcoming weeks. With this, they have decided to update their uniforms from the French blue worn since 1980′ to a tan and hunter green color.

In a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Tim Eads stated, “The new uniforms not only look professional, but are more comfortable for the deputies that are working in the field every day. The polyester blend material in the shirts and pants offer us a lighter, more flexible uniform that is practical for the rural environment we work in”.

The uniform change will begin with all deputies, yet patrol will be the first group to make the initial switch.
