Dickson County traveled to play an old division foe on Thursday in Summit High where the boys and girls were unable to come out on top.

The Lady Cougars once again failed to start the game with the energy needed putting up just five first-quarter points.

The rest of the game was played with more intensity but the hole that was dug was too deep.

The Lady Cougars would lose by a score of 49-30.

The leading scorer on the night was AC Milam with 14.

The boys’ game was a lot closer of a battle with it staying at a two-possession game most of the second half.

The Cougars would rotate 10 throughout the course of the game and had 12 total players see the court.

Nine of them scored.

Malakhi Redman was a constant force on both sides of the ball gardening 14 points, three rebounds, and two steals.

Josh Cope had it going from downtown making three of his four attempts.

Turnovers in the first half kept the Cougars from ever being able to break through with 13 in the first half and 21 in the game.

The final score was 53-66.

Both teams will travel to take on the Page Patriots to end their away stretch on Tuesday.
