After finishing up their district slate, now the Cougars must prepare as best they know-how.

Competition.

Head Coach Chris Cardona talked with me last week about continuing to work on certain things and the schedule down the stretch.

Dickson County after finalizing their district schedule would be the two seed in the tournament.

Dependent on what Kenwood does, Dickson County could secure the one seed.

However, according to Coach Cardona, it is all about them right now.

Either way, they will host a semifinal and that, plus their final few games, is where they are focused.

They have shown that focus in back-to-back games against higher competition in Gallatin and Brentwood Academy.

A 1-1 tie with Gallatin and a 3-2 loss to BA are signs that the Cougars have what it takes to compete well beyond their district and even their region.

The question is can their defense hold up?

That is what Coach Cardona is attempting to find out in these final games before the postseason.

Stay tuned in to WDKN as we will keep you updated on postseason scheduling as it becomes available.
