White Bluff man killed in head-on Highway 96 crash

A White Bluff man was killed Monday afternoon in a head on crash involving a teen driver on Highway 96 in Burns, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

27 year old Justin Fisher was killed while driving a 1999 Saturn Coupe eastbound on Highway 96 when a juvenile from Humphreys County driving a 2008 GMC Acadia SUV westbound “failed to stop for traffic.”

According to the THP report, the SUV swerved into the eastbound lanes of travel, hitting the Saturn head-on.

The wreck happened around 4 pm. Both vehicles came to a final rest in the eastbound lanes. The wreck occurred near 96 Lawn and Garden Center in Burns.

The 16 year old male driver of the SUV, who was wearing a seatbelt, was injured. Fisher was also wearing a seatbelt.

According to the report, charges are pending.
