I have worked in radio since 1998, and also broadcasted my own radio show over the internet in 1999 and 2000. I love the roots of country music and hope to help educate the public about where our songs and artists come from, all the while keeping the more traditional sounds of country on the air for the public to enjoy. I have even managed a couple of artists, and also worked as a sound engineer on a live Saturday afternoon country music radio show.

In June of 2004, I married a young lady who came to Dickson County from Mississippi to teach at United Christian Academy. We own a small farm in Hampshire, Tennessee, where we have a few animals (you ought to see me with that mule!! LOL). You also might see me driving around town on the weekends in my '68 Buick Wildcat (I sure to love them old cars...they don't make 'em like that anymore!)

Join me Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 10:00am here on WDKN for classics of country from the 1930's up to the 1970's. I am certainly looking forward to the future with WDKN, serving the community of Dickson County and surrounding areas.

History
I was born in Indiana, but spent half my life in Waterloo, Alabama with my grandmother, who passed on to me an appreciation of classic country music. Just a few hours after high school graduation, I followed my heart and came to Nashville to work for Opryland USA for four seasons during the mid to late 80's.
