Chuck Dauphin (continued)
Some of the artists that Chuck has interviewed on WDKN over the years include legends such as Loretta Lynn, George Jones and Kenny Rogers, as well as newer stars like Brad Paisley, Chely Wright and Lee Ann Womack. "Probably my biggest thrill was having Charlie Louvin in studio for three hours in July of 2003," says Dauphin.

Even though no longer a day-to-day fixture on WDKN, Dauphin continues to be proud of the station's accomplishments. "Whether it be our Holiday Angel Tree Project, Radio-thons for Meals On Wheels or the Dickson County Humane Society, working with the Dickson County Chamber or promoting the high school through our sports coverage, I am glad to see the work that people like Warren Medley, Bill Potts, "Red" Hamilton and Henry Ragan have done continues today.

Dauphin is currently Promotions Coordinator with B-Venturous Records, and has served in the same capacity at SEA Records. He has also written columns for THE DICKSON HERALD, NEW MUSIC WEEKLY, as well as the new online MUSIC CITY NEWS. As a matter of fact, Chuck was the recipient of NEW MUSIC WEEKLY's 2003 Music Director Of The Year Award, as well as the magazine's 2004 Literary Award. So, as the old song says, "The Beat Goes On" for Dauphin. "As long as the station will allow me to keep a toe in the door, I will leave it there!"
