Chuck "Crazy Chucky" Dauphin
While it may be said that "Elvis Has Left The Building," it appears that in the case of "Crazy Chucky" Dauphin, it's best to hang around. Dauphin joined the staff of WDKN in April 1991 as Afternoon Drive-Time personality, staying there until the summer of 1995, when he moved to Morning Drive. Along the way, he added the titles of Program and Music Director. In the fall of 2003, Chuck left his full-time position at WDKN to pursue opportunities in the

music industry. While looking forward to the future, it was impossible for Chuck to leave radio completely. Dauphin remains an intregal part of WDKN's sports coverage, having broadcasted Dickson County Cougar Sports since 1996. Every now and then, you can still hear Dauphin's voice on the air. "Someone has to play Buck Owens and Kenny Rogers," he adds.

Among Dauphin's career highlights at WDKN include Election Night of 2002, which featured a tight race for Dickson County Mayor. "When Brian and Alan Ragan gave us word that 12 votes separated Mayor-elect Linda Frazier and her nearest competitor, you could cut the tension with knife." Chuck has very fond memories of broadcasting Cougar sports. "Getting to play Pat Summerall for a few hours a week is very fun, and I cherish the friendships I have with our coaches, parents and players." Behind the scenes, Chuck is most proud ot his accomplishments as Music Director at WDKN.
