The Hobby Lobby store in Dickson begins accepting applications for temporary setup help today with opportunities for full- and part-time positions. The new store is under construction in The Crossings of Dickson between Highway 46 and Beasley Drive with a tentative opening date of Feb. 27, according to the company’s website. Hobby Lobby will accept applications for temporary setup help 9 am-6 pm Monday-Friday at the new store at 344 Thornton Drive. Positions are to help set up merchandise and displays in the new store and could lead to a permanent full- or part-time position with the store. Currently being built by Baker Storey McDonald Properties and local developer Eric Thornton, The Crossings has already announced Hobby Lobby as its largest tenant with a 55,000-square-foot store while Marshalls and Ross will occupy 23,000-square-foot spaces and Petco is in a 10,400-square-foot space in the $16 million retail center. The project includes construction of the new street connecting Highway 46 with Beasley Drive and last week new traffic signals were installed on the Highway 46 end with signals going up soon at the other end. The project includes at least three other smaller retail spaces and 2-3 outbuildings.
