The driver in an accident that involved a child exiting a school bus has been charged.
According the Tennessee Highway Patrol Brandon Hedge has been charged with reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an injury crash, immediate notice of crash, failure to render aid, and passing a stopped school bus.
The charges come after Hedge hit a student on Petty Road and White Bluff as he was exiting his Dickson County school bus on Wednesday afternoon. Hedges ignored the stop sign on the bus and hit the student as he was crossing the street.
The student, whose name has not been released, was taken a local hospital where he is said to be in good condition.
