Dickson Co. deputy’s lip-sync video goes viral

Dusin Evans went viral over the weekend, in a fad that has claimed the interest of internet users across the country. Evans showed off his lip-syncing skills in a video, which was posted on Wednesday. The video featured Evans sitting in his squad car and lip-synching to the Loretta Lynn song “Y’all Come.”

This isn’t the first time Evans has posted a lip-sync type video. During the 2017 total solar eclipse Evans, along with fallen Sgt. Daniel Baker, sang and danced to Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It.” After that video, other deputies and figures around the community were encouraging Evans to do the lip-sync challenge.

After Sgt. Baker’s death in May, Evans decided to go through with the lip-sync challenge, producing the now viral video, which has been viewed nearly 400,000 times.

The lip-sync challenge originated from two cops in Texas, who were both attempting to out-do each other. The video was posted originally to show a lighter side to police officers and the challenge has since grown nationwide.
