City recognizes Work-Based Learning students

Dickson Planning and Zoning Director Jason Pilkinton recognized the Work-Based Learning program students from Dickson County High School and Creek Wood High School who recently spent time observing and learning with the city staff.

Students interested in architecture, engineering, and construction-related careers shadow the building and code enforcement officers as part of their school instruction day for first-had, real-world experiences for career choices.

The students and learning instructors were recognized by Mayor Don L. Weiss Jr. and the Dickson Council at the August 5 council meeting.

Pilkinton thanked Weiss, the council members, and department staff for supporting the department’s participation in the Work-Based Learning Program.
