Only two petitions have been picked up by candidates for the state primaries while no qualifying papers have been issued for candidates in the county general election on Aug. 4. The Dickson County Election Office began issuing qualifying petitions for candidates Jan. 8 and the deadline to qualify for the ballot is noon April 7.

Senior Night sees opposite results for Cougars and Lady Cougars

Lingering ice keeps schools closed for 5th day, GTCA re-opens

With ice lingering on a few roads especially in the north end of the county, Dickson County schools will remain closed Tuesday. Inclement weather daycare sites will be open at Oakmont, White Bluff and Stuart-Burns elementary schools.
