Author to speak on Albert Gore, Sr. book at the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum
Academic Professor Anthony Badger, British historian of Southern American political history is returning to the Clement Railroad Museum in Downtown Dickson as part of its lectureship series.
Badger will be speaking about his new book “Albert Gore, Sr.: A Political Life,” on September 13 at 5pm. A meet and greet will be at 4:30pm. This event will be held at the museum.
Admission is $10 at the door and students are free. Light refreshments will be served.
Badger currently teaches American History at Northumbria University and is the Professor Emeritus Paul Mellon Professor of American History at University of Cambridge. Prior to his retirement in 2014, he was the history professor as well s Master of Clare College at Cambridge.
He has written several other books including “New Deal/New South: An Anthony J. Badger Reader,” “FDR: The First Hundred Days,” and “The New Deal: The Depression Years, 1933-40.”
