44th Annual Farm Tour allows residents to see local farms of Dickson County

The 44thannual Farm Tour, sponsored by the Dickson County Soil Conservation Disctict and the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce, took off from Dickson County High School in two school buses and a small line of cars for a day full of up-close and personal time with some of Dickson County’s most unique agriculture spots.

The tour’s first stop was at Berry’s Farm, followed by a stop at Berry’s Bushel Market. The third, and largest, stop was at The Ruskin Wedding and Event Venue. The Ruskin features multiple wedding venues spread out over a large area and includes the historic Ruskin Cave. Lunch, which was provided by the Dickson County Livestock Association, was served inside the cave and included a tour of the grounds. The tour concluded at the Dickson Farmer’s Market, where there was a watermelon feast provided by the Dickson Farmer’s COOP. Snacks and refreshments were provided along the way by Farm Credit Mid-America and Stewart Lumber Company.
